Yang En, a postgraduate student of HFU, proposes a preparation method of a sensor array of metal ion-imprinted  (Cu2+, Cd2+, Hg2+ and Pb2+) artificial antibodies with fluorescence(NBD-Cl)-tagged recognition sites, thus realizing the selective recognition and trace detection of the above heavy metal ions.

The relevant results are published in ACS Applied Materials Interfaces (with an impact factor of 9.229) under the title of Nanostructured Shell-Layer Artificial Antibody with Fluorescence-Tagged Recognition Sites for the Trace Detection of Heavy Metal Ions by Self-Reporting Microsensor Arrays, with Hefei University as its first unit signatory, and Associate Professor Xia Xiaoxiao and Professor Gao Daming as the corresponding authors, which will provide theoretical basis and technical support for biomimetic synthesis, molecular sieve for separation and detection of highly hazardous substances in the environment.

In this paper, it is mentioned that the synthesized SiO2@MIPs forms a microsensor array on the regular dot array of etched silicon wafers by self-assembled technique, and four heavy metal ions, whose LOD concentration is 10−9 mol·L−1, enter the nanostructured shell-layer with fluorescence-tagged recognition site driven by concentration differences. The recognition sites have highly selective recognition of heavy metal ions with sensitive responses. Based on FRET principle, ultra-trace detection of the target analytes can be achieved, which solves the problem of identification and detection of polymetallic ions.
